In the World of Highlighting Hair, there are 4 Methods of “Separation” - separating hairs when deciding which to accent and which to leave as contrast :
1. Weaving/Slicing
2. Teasing/Back Combing
3. Balayage/ Open air surface painting
4. Airtouch
This class goes over the “Why” and “How” all 4 methods and explains the advantages and disavantages of each. This empowers the stylist to problem solve to each client as to “When” a method is appropriate
On top of technique this course includes the Factors of Lift and goes over the PH Scale. This is relevant to understanding formulation of Lightener and how it relates to the application/results.
